Gloria Lacayo has written a bok - Jan 31, 2011

I just had a delightful e-mail from our friend Gloria Lacayo., of Limon, Honduras.  She ran the lab at the Carolina Clinic for many years.  She has now "retired" to the USA, but keeps her contacts in Honduras.  Many of the AHMEN teams that worked in Limon visited her home and her "museum" of Garifina artifacts.   Gloria has now written an book :"Desafiando La Ignorancia".  Check it out at www.barnesandnobles.com and  www.amazon.com. 


Gloria has agreed to write articles for www.honduranmissions.com about her life in Honduras and the Garifina people's history.

I am part of the organization AHMEN - Alabama Honduran Medical Educational Network.  As our name implies, we work in Honduras.  There are many aspects to AHMEN.  From time to time, people send me information, pictures, letters, request, etc related to our work in Honduras.
